Stovetop Baked Pasta ππππ
Here’s a quick stovetop baked pasta recipe that doesn’t require an oven:
Ingredients:
250g pasta (penne, rigatoni, or macaroni)
1 cup marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
1 cup shredded mozzarella or any cheese of choice
1/4 cup grated Parmesan
1/2 cup heavy cream (optional for creamier sauce)
1 tsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic (minced)
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta until al dente (according to the package instructions). Drain and set aside.
2. Prepare the sauce:
In a deep skillet or pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sautΓ© for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Add marinara sauce and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in heavy cream (optional) for a richer texture.
3. Combine pasta and sauce:
Add the cooked pasta to the sauce. Toss to coat evenly. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the pasta. Cover the skillet with a lid.
4. Melt the cheese:
Reduce the heat to low and let the cheese melt for about 5 minutes. You can check occasionally to ensure the cheese is melted and bubbly.
5. Garnish and serve:
Once the cheese is fully melted, remove the skillet from heat. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired, and serve immediately
Tips:
You can add cooked vegetables, chicken, or sausage to the pasta for extra flavor.
For a crispier top without an oven, lightly toast breadcrumbs in a separate pan and sprinkle on top before serving.
This method gives you the feel of baked pasta without needing an oven!
