Potato πŸ₯” Tehri Rice 🍚🍚

 Aloo Ki Tahri (Potato Rice) Recipe:




               *Ingredients:

1 cup basmati rice (washed and soaked for 30 mins)

2 medium potatoes (peeled and cubed)

1 onion (sliced)

1 tomato (chopped)

1 green chili (slit)

1 tsp cumin seeds

1 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp red chili powder

1 tsp garam masala

1 bay leaf

Salt to taste

2 tbsp oil or ghee

2 cups water

Fresh coriander for garnish

Instructions:

1. Heat oil/ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds, bay leaf, and sliced onions. Fry until golden.

2. Add potatoes, green chili, turmeric, red chili powder, and salt. Cook for 5-7 minutes.

3. Add tomatoes and cook until soft.

4. Add soaked rice and gently mix. Pour water, adjust salt, and bring to a boil.



5. Lower the heat, cover, and cook until rice and potatoes are tender (around 15-20 mins).

6. Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with coriander.

Serve hot with yogurt or pickles!
